Opening a Designated Direct Deposit Account–International Faculty Members

When reporting for work, International faculty members (including postdoctoral research fellows) are required to open an account with either Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd. or Bank SinoPac and provide their account information to the Cashier Division.

To open an account, please have the following documents ready:

1. Alien residence certificate or passport

2. Letter of appointment

3. Personal seal

Opening a Designated Direct Deposit Account–International Students

During enrollment, international students are required to open an account with a local bank and register their account information via the Student Account Registration System.To open an account, please have the following documents ready:

1. Alien residence certificate or passport

2. Admission letter

3. Personal seal

Income Tax–Witholding Rate According to Income Type

1. Income tax withholding rate chart based on income type

2. Income tax withholding rate chart according to monthly salary level (tax withholdings are calculated each month based on whether the beneficiary has a spouse and the number of dependents they support.)

Income Inquiries

1. Through the Cashier Division system: Log in with your staff ID number and password. The default password is your national ID or unified identification number.

2. Through the payment inquiry system: Individuals may log in with their national ID and password. The default password is their national ID number, and first-time users are required to change their password before they can access the system.

Termination Pay Contribution

Prior to their resignation from the University or the expiry of their employment contract, foreign postgraduate research fellows are required to download and fill out a First Bank Severance Pay Account Closure Application and submit it to the Cashier Division to settle their severance payment.

Faculty and staff dormitories

Faculty and staff members must submit the following documents to apply for employee dormitories:

  1. A completed application form
  2. A merit points tabulation form
  3. A household registration transcript issued within three months (must be located beyond a 25 km radius of the University)
  4. A certificate of appointment, letter of assignment, or other proof of approval

NCHU Guest House

The NCHU Guest House is available on request for visiting lecturers, researchers, speakers, scholars attending conferences, visiting experts, and administrative personnel. The following application documents are required:

  1. An application form
  2. The invitation sent to the scholar and the supporting official approval document

Tuition and Fees

The tuition and fee schedule will be posted on the official NCHU website and may be paid through a variety of means. Students can follow the provided link to navigate to the First Bank’s E-school Payment Gateway to confirm and settle the amount due.

School Cafeteria

The school cafeteria is operated by a contractor that offers a variety of dining options, including an à la carte buffet, themed restaurants, a fast food place, and a convenience store. The cafeteria is a great place to hang out with other faculty members, students, and people from neighboring communities.
