Course Content :
Listening training helps learners retrain their brains to process English by rebuilding listening logic—starting with overall meaning before moving toward word-level understanding. The training follows three stages: Mindset Reset → Auditory Awareness → Application.
Materials include YouTube videos, TOEIC audio, and authentic recordings from NCHU international students. Weekly shadowing practice is assigned. Speaking training focuses on thinking and speaking in chunks rather than word-by-word sentence construction. Students learn how to extract natural chunks from native-speaker materials and practice them until internalized. Guided turn-taking dialogue practice, based on a newly developed OIA handbook, is used to reduce speaking anxiety and build confidence.
