Important Information
Eligibility
Students who are already international students in Taiwan are not eligible for administrative initial expenses subsidy (Arrival Support) and one-way airfare subsidy.
Student insurance, accommodation fees, and other related expenses remain at the student’s own expense.
Government–Industry Co-funded Scholarship
NCHU currently adopts a Government–Industry Co-funded Scholarship model, under which scholarship funding is jointly provided by the Taiwan government and participating enterprises. Students who receive this scholarship are required to complete their studies in Taiwan and fulfill the employment commitment with the sponsoring enterprise after graduation.
Eligibility & Language Requirements
Check the requirements before starting your application.
There are three distinctive features about INTENSE Program:
Focusing on STEM, finance, and semiconductor fields.
Strong Industry-Academia Collaboration: Partner companies offer scholarships and internship opportunities, and also guarantee employment after graduation.
Higher Language Requirements: Applicants for English-taught programs must have at least CEFR B1 level, while those applying for Chinese-taught programs must hold at least TOCFL A2. In both cases, students must achieve a higher-level language certification before the start of the next academic year.
Applications for the “fall semester” usually open in April – May of the same year. Applications for the “spring semester” usually open in November – December of the previous year. Please check our official website during those periods for the most up-to-date application information.
At least two months after the deadline for applications, the results will be published on the OIA website, alongside notification emails sent to applicants.
No. Recipients of the INTENSE Program’s official and corporate scholarships are not eligible to apply for other Taiwan government scholarships (e.g., the Taiwan Scholarship) at the same time.
